Drift Events | Silhouette On Top In Angelton

24 08 2010

Well Robert and Justin decided at the last minute to hit a local grassroots drift comp in Angelton this past weekend. Robert qualified 1st with Justin right behind in the 2nd qualifying position. Both drivers won both of their tandem battles and faced off against each other in the finals. With super close tandem it was hard for the judges to call the first battle so it went on to “One More Time” where Robert’s tires just did not have enough life left causing him to spin at the end of the first run and the one tire blow on his follow run giving Justin the victory.

Drift Events | Kings Of The Streets Take It To The Track

19 07 2010

The dust has settled in Mineral Wells, Texas as The Mexican Standoff has come to an end. Team Silhouette showed up to make a point, and i think its clearly been made.

All drivers qualified for top 16, with the results being as follows. Brad qualified 2nd and had THE sickest entries of the day. Robert 6th, Justin 7th, and Nacho rounding out our drivers at 9th.

In top 16 battle, Brad faced off against Fielding Shredder, the drivers went on to a one more time battle where Brad made a mistake and Fielding advanced. Robert faced off against Carl Carmical and advanced. Justin went up against Steven’s RB25 Bh Factory s13, took it to one more time and advanced. Nacho battled Josh Steele of Nevrfast, went one more time where Nacho’s car was running low on gas, causing the car to hiccup and Josh advanced.

In top 8 battle we had two drivers left. Justin battled against Steele in his 400hp S13 from Nevrfast, Steele advanced in what many think was the worst call of the day. Robert went against Nate in his 500hp ls2 s13 and stayed door to door. Robert took the win and advanced to the final four.

In top 4 Robert faced off against Josh Steele. Robert cleanly passed him in his following run and the crowd went insane! Having clearly won the round, Steele was upset and protesting that he was passed, Robert agreed to go one more time where he won again and advanced to the finals to battle Chelsea DeNofa in his 600 HP NST BMW M3. Robert stayed close and took the battle to one more time, but in the end Chelsea’s horsepower was just too much for our little ka-t to handle.

In the end Robert took home 2nd place, with Justin following in the winners circle with 8th place. Team Silhouette had the biggest and loudest crowd there, things getting rowdy at times! Amazing event, be looking for is in upcoming events with our low horsepower cars overtaking 400+ hp cars! Stay tuned for more media coverage!
